So I am sure we both could have less than perfect memories of the events that occurred.
My memory was your car had many issues, I remember we spent more time helping you try to get your issues resolved so your car could be tuned, than the time to tune most of the other cars.
I remember what caused us to stop the tune was the massive oil leak.
I remember checking the leak on the rack.
I remember finding your oil pump having a chunk broken off, and finding tons of silicone all over the broken area.
I remember offering to have you leave the car so the oil pump could be replaced, and address other issues.
I remember you declining the repair.
I remember us cleaning off the oil and doing our best to patch the leak so that you could drive home.
Yes, we charged you for our time, no your tune was not complete and was de-tuned for safety, but we offered to finish the tune once the problems were corrected, we never saw you again.
We either give people their chips back if asked, or we re-flash over them. I do not recall you ever asking for your old chip, if you did and we declined, it would only be because we wrote over it and did not have it.
Your car had many issues, we spent our time addressing many of them, we need to get paid for our time, so asking for a refund was not reasonable and was not granted.
Your car was over-boosting due to problems with your boost controller, you wanted to go fix the issues the car had your self, we knew you had a long drive home, we did our best to make the car as safe so you could limp home in the poor condition it was in mechanically.
So you left for home with a patched oil pump and a safe chip with low timing to try to keep the engine alive with it's issues.
We fly across the Country and into Canada performing group tunes several times a year, we also have people ship us cars from as far away as the East Coast. Only about 1 in 100 cars we come across are in a condition that we can not correct quickly, that causes us to refuse to tune them.I am not sure why you have trouble understanding, we had an agreement you would come back, you got a de-tuned chip for safety due to problems with your car, yet you bash us like we tuned your car poorly?
